Galyna Gorbis began her rhythmic gymnastics journey at the age of 6 in Odessa. By 12, she was training at the prestigious Deriugina School in Kyiv, Ukraine. She quickly rose to prominence, becoming the top Ukrainian gymnast at both junior and senior levels, and joining the national team. Her career saw her earning medals in prestigious competitions such as the Grand Prix, World Cups, and the European and World Championships. She was also selected for Olympic training and earned the distinguished title of Master of Sports of International Class.
After completing her studies at the Physical School of Education in Kyiv, Galyna performed in a Chinese acrobatic show. She then moved to the U.S., where she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Pine Manor College’s Child Study Center. Galyna was selected as the head coach of the Junior Olympics Team program at Rhythmic Dreams in Boston, Massachusetts. Later, upon moving to California, she became the Head Coach of the Rhythmic Academy of Los Angeles and was chosen as a National Team Coach for the United States. Eventually, Galyna founded GYMNASTIKA Athletic Studio, where she developed a holistic method aimed at fostering personal growth and resilience through gymnastics.
